Legend of the Medicine Man

I think his face tells a story. You can still see a strong and determined warrior, the life and wisdom of a Medicine man whose visions and direction lead the tribe. The passing away of the buffalo, as well as the coming of the white man with his cattle, horses, railroad, and thirst for land. Roughly painted with acrylics and a palette knife, on this old discarded chipboard from the back of a sketch pad, where you can see the scars, cuts, distress and discoloring lends to that spirit and story.
