What moved me to paint this moment wasn’t just the power of the animal, but the spirit behind it — that restless, wild courage that lives in all of us. Out here, under the endless western sky, the pronghorn reminds me that beauty often lives on the edge of challenge, and that even in stillness, life is full of motion and purpose. 

In this scene, a place of fierce beauty and quiet tension. The air out there hums with heat and wind, and every living thing seems made for endurance.

This big buck stands tall, muscles tight, another rival buck in the distance is pushing his does away over the rise toward the rugged desert mountains — a timeless ritual of strength, instinct, and survival.
